Welcome to my Blog. I keeptrying toimprove the Friday Folk Website and hope that I'm gradually getting it right. The Folk Club has had it's ups and dpwns over the last 20 years. It's heyday was when we had Paul Sirman and Ron Trueman- Border making regular appearances as residents. I have had many promises of support returning once the smoking ban came into force, sadly it has now been two months and there has been no sign of those people. I am inviting you, as my club's bread and butter, to say what you want at Friday Folk. I am not rushing to fill the bookings for 2008, until I am assured of your support. I would like to thank those of you who have stayed with us through good and bad times, and can assure you that your support has been absolutely vital to the Club.I would also like to welcome any newcomers who would like to join us every Friday at 8.30.

Good on you Sue. I have found your club to be the most friendly and welcoming I have been to. For a small club the I am amazed by the calibre of guest acts that I have seen there. Jez Lowe, Pig's Ear, Adrian Nation, Dave Ellis, Boo Howard, Liz Simcock & many more. I make two bus journeys that take over an hour to get to the club - It's worth it! I hope to attend Friday Folk for years to come!!!;)
